X Library and iPod

Mike:

I got xEnableDrag working on the iPod.  By default drag and drop is not supported because the drag motion is used to move or change the size of the screen.

(1) in a meta tag you set user-scalable=no // if you use drag drop, you cannot use touch resize
(2) you might add a control which dynamically deletes and recreates the meta tag with a new initial-scale value, allowing you to resize the screen
(3) you detect "ipod" in the navigator.userAgent and if so, you listen to "touchstart" and such instead of "mousedown" et al

It's very cool, stay tuned.

Re: X Library and iPod

Awesome! My wife and son both have an ipod and I've been wanting to try some things on it but haven't had a chance. This is great info - thanks!

Mike:

These three demos have been iPod enabled.  Try 'em out when you get home.
